Forest Air Helicopters Training

It’s official, Forest Air Helicopters is now a certified part 141 organisation and is offering flight training to the Australian aviation community. We will be offering training for private and commercial pilot licenses in our Robinson 22 as well as more advanced training in a range of helicopters. Our training school will fill a need for high quality flight training backed by a real working commercial helicopter operator in the New South Wales/Victoria border region. Enabling aspiring pilots the ability to train in a unique physical environment and without the need to travel to the big cities with their associated high costs. Published October 10, 2017

Albury Airport Open Day

Albury Airport Open Day This past Saturday, Albury airport had an open day organised by the Albury Aeroclub. Forest Air Helicopters was there with our Bell 206L and we had a great day meeting plenty of interesting people and showing kids through the helicopter. Being the only helicopter on display all day, we proved to be very popular with a permanent line of children politely waiting their turns for a chance to sit in the pilots’ seat. Thanks to Albury Airport, the Albury Aeroclub and the Australian Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) for putting on such a successful event. We will be there next year with a bigger helicopter and perhaps some of our other role equipment on show too. Published October 31, 2017

Mighty Mitta Muster 2018

Mighty Mitta Muster 2018 This past Sunday we took our new R22 (VH-FAT) out to the Mighty Mitta Muster at the Magorra Park Recreation Reserve in Mitta Mitta, VIC. The muster was a great success and lots of people turned out to enjoy the cloudless sunshine and warm temperature. With plenty of events and entertainment throughout the day and lots of yummy things on offer to eat and drink. It was a really great day out for young and old. We really enjoyed being there with the helicopter, chatting to everyone, and giving the children an opportunity to sit in the pilots’ seat. Thanks to all that came out and made us feel at home.
